Junior D Little

Junior Durwood Little, 69, of Crab Orchard, died at his home on November 20, 2018. He was born December 6, 1948 in Tecumseh, Nebraska, the oldest son of Durwood and Leona (Sargent) Little. Junior graduated from Lewiston Consolidated School in 1967. 

He was united in marriage to Vicky Wilkinson on January 8, 1972 and they lived in Lincoln while she finished her teaching degree at UNL.  They moved to the farm near Crab Orchard as soon as she graduated and he could continue farming in the area.  Junior loved farming.  The last 10 years he has been farming with his son, Dylan. Junior dearly loved his sons and never missed a game or activity they were involved in while the boys were growing up.  Dylan and Clint were his pride and joy.  He also loved his four grandsons and enjoyed watching them grow up and loved passing on his love of farming to them.  

He is survived by his wife Vicky of Crab Orchard, son, Dylan Little and wife Amy and their sons Colt and Garret of Crab Orchard, son, Clint Little and wife Miranda and their sons Easton and Aiden and daughter-to be of Kearney; brothers, Dallas Little and wife Barb of Kingsburg, CA, Roger "Pete" Little and wife Vicky of Plymouth, sisters, Clara Janssen of Seward and Betty Bell of Beatrice, mother-in-law, Helen Wilkinson of Tecumseh and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews scattered around Nebraska.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Derwin and Dale, brothers-in-law, Dennis Bell and Norm Janssen, father-in-law, Howard Wilkinson and best friend, Wayne Trout.   

 Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 24, 2018 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska, with Rev. Ken Tubbesing officiating.

 Visitation will be at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska, Friday, November 23, 2018 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m.

 Memorials may go to the family’s choice.

 Interment will be in the Vesta Cemetery, rural Tecumseh, Nebraska.
