Judie Ann Arms

Judie Ann Arms, 62 years of age, of Humboldt, Nebraska was born on November 27, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois.  She was the oldest child born to Benjamin and Rose (Tiggner) Chapman and grew up in southwestern Wisconsin.  It was there that she met the love of her life, Jim Arms.  The couple were married on March 15, 1973.  Judie attended Southwest Community College in Creston, Iowa where she received her teaching certificate.  The couple moved to their home in rural Humboldt, Nebraska where Judie was a teacher at various schools in the area.  She enjoyed teaching and spending time with her own family, especially her grandchildren.  Judie passed away on Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Bryan East LGH Medical Center in Lincoln, Nebraska having reached the age of sixty-two years, four months, and seven days.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Barb Allen.

Judie is survived by her loving husband of 45 years Jim Arms of rural Humboldt, NE; daughters: Christy Otero and husband Jacob of Topeka, KS; Becky Lindsey and husband Lonnie of Humboldt, NE; sons: Don Arms and wife Amy of Auburn, NE; Louis arms and fiancé Alyssa Bruse of Humboldt, NE; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 3 brothers, 2 sisters, many in-laws, nieces, nephews, and many loving friends.  

Memorial Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at The Christian Church in Humboldt, Nebraska with Jack Arms officiating. 

A register book will be available for signing from 9 a.m.- 5 p.m. on Friday, April 13, 2018 at The Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
