Jean (Brott) Johnson

Norma Jean (Brott) Johnson, 86, of Lincoln, passed away at her home in Lincoln on August 25, 2017.  She was born to Lloyd and Rose (Brammann) Brott on April 15, 1931 in Tecumseh, Nebraska.  She attended Tecumseh Public Schools, graduating with the Class of 1948.  Jean was united in marriage to Ronald L. Johnson on August 15, 1948.  To this union five children were born.  

Jean worked as a candy dipper for Russell Stover Candy, House of Bauer Chocolate and Sugar Plum Candies, American Stores, as a lunch lady for Lincoln Public Schools and also for Goodyear Tire and Rubber, retiring in 2006.  Jean was the original candy map before they printed it on the box as she did the designs on the different flavors at Russell Stover.

 Jean and Ronald enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii.  Jean was a very social person and loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Air Park Kingdom Hall in Lincoln, Nebraska.

She is survived by her children, Gayle Beach and husband Mark, Cheryl McCormick and husband Rodney, Beverly Hayes and husband Paul, Steven Johnson and wife Kathy and Gina Florentine and husband Gary all of Lincoln, 12 grandchildren, Ashleigh McCormick, Justin Hayes and wife Joselyn, Tori Parker and husband Rory, Summer Brannan and husband Jackson, Jerod Beach and wife Jasmine, Alyssa Wilhelm and husband Jared, Jaimee Lehr and husband Jeremiah, Brandon Johnson and wife Alexis, Christopher Deleski, April Deleski, Austin Florentine and Joshua Florentine,15 great-grandchildren, Kaeden, Bianca, Scarlett, Amelia, Mahailah, Elijah, Josiah, Gabby, Riley, Collin, Abby, Ryan, Annaliese, Gabriel and Lily, sister, Darlene Morrissey of Lincoln, sister-in-law, Alice Sobotta of Lincoln, brothers-in-law, Robert Johnson of AZ and Eldon Johnson and wife Bert of Greeley, CO, other relatives and friends.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ronald (Oct. 25, 1996), brother, Carl Brott, sister, JoAnn Johnson and brothers-in-law, Jack Morrissey, Jim Johnson and Clarence Sobotta.  

Memorial services will be held at the 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 at the Kingdom Hall, 3606 N. First Street, Lincoln, NE 68521 with Jerome Holmes officiating.  There will be no visitation.
