Dolores Anne (Weyers) Schultz

Dolores A. (Weyers) Schultz, 86, of rural Tecumseh, passed away January 18, 2019.

She was born to Harry and Anna (Wusk) Weyers on November 8, 1932 rural Sterling, Nebraska. She grew up in the Crab Orchard area and started her education near Crab Orchard and attended Lewiston High School, graduating with the Class of 1949.  She took normal training at Peru State College and taught school for a few years before her marriage.

Dolores was united in marriage to William "Bill" Schultz on December 27, 1952 at Ft. Smith, Arkansas.  To this union five daughters were born.  Bill and Dolores made their home southwest of Tecumseh where they farmed and raised their family.  They raised sheep and Dolores loved taking care of the baby lambs.  Dolores always raised a large garden and enjoyed canning produce for her family.  She and Bill loved going camping and taking fishing trips, going to the Casino and spending the winters in Texas for many years.  Dolores was active in the St. Andrew Altar Society.  

She is survived by her husband William "Bill" Schultz of Tecumseh, daughters, Barb Sellhorn and husband Mark of Lincoln, Bev Borrenpohl and husband Roger of Tecumseh, Bonnie Piersol and husband Dan of Lincoln, JoAnn Schultz of Grant and Denise Young and husband Jay of Syracuse, ten grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Charlene Scott and husband Charles and LaVelle Pella of Tecumseh and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Lois Rickman and husband Charles "Buzz" and Ilene Rickman and husband Lou, brothers, Lorin Weyers and wife Velma and LeRoy Weyers and wife Evelyn and in-laws, David Pella, Wilma and Leroy Durman, Mel and Eileen Schultz and Martin and Luetta Schultz.   

A Funeral Liturgy Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Father Craig Clinch officiating.

Visitation will be Tuesday, January 22, 2019 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska.   

Inurnment will be in the St. Andrew Catholic Cemetery, Tecumseh, Nebraska.

Memorials may go to the St. Andrew Catholic Church, Tecumseh, Nebraska.
