Arthur Leroy Alderman

Arthur “Art” Leroy Alderman, 92, of Table Rock, Nebraska was born on January 31, 1927, in Sabetha, Kansas to Ralph and Margaret (Waters) Alderman.  He attended school in Table Rock graduating from Table Rock High School with the class of 1945.  After graduating, Art served his country in the U.S. Navy until being honorably discharged in 1946.  On December 31, 1946, Art was united in marriage to Edna Trimmer in Hiawatha, Kansas.  To this union four children, Glenda, Donna, Roger and Sara were born.  The couple raised their family in Table Rock, California and other various places where Art worked road construction for many years.  Art was a life-long member of the United Methodist Church in Table Rock and received a 75-year pin.  He was also a member of the Harvey-Mann Legion Post #269 in Humboldt and the Pawnee City VFW.

Art passed away on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at the Pawnee County Memorial Hospital in Pawnee City, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of ninety-two years, six months and six days.  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Edna, brothers Larry (Milci) and Walter (Mary Louise) Alderman, great-grandson Marcus Latas and son-in-law Lennis Blecha.

Art is survived by his loving children: Glenda Blecha of Table Rock, NE; Donna Bucher of Table Rock, NE; Roger (Judy) Alderman of Eagle, NE; Sara Alderman of Indianapolis, IN; grandchildren: Lenny (Bonnie) Blecha of Table Rock, NE; Joey (Jessica) Blecha of Omaha, NE; Cassi (Brad) Collum of West Des Moines, IA; Vicky (Ben) Hall of Indianapolis, IN; Daa (Scott) Weimers of Table Rock, NE; Lea (Dan) Meier of Eagle, NE; Liza  Alderman of Lincoln, NE; Dustin Paugh of Chicago, IL; Stephanie Paugh of Indianapolis, IN; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at the United Methodist Church in Table Rock, Nebraska with Pastor Dorothy Smith officiating.

Visitation will be from noon- 8 p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019, at the United Methodist Church in Table Rock, Nebraska with family will greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. at the church

Inurnment will be at the Mound (Prospect) Cemetery with full military honors conducted by the Harvey-Mann Legion Post #269 and the Naval Honor Guard.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
