Allen C Schmiegelow

   Allen Carl Schmiegelow, 56, of Tecumseh, passed away Monday, November 19, 2018. He was born July 30, 1962 to Carl and Laura Mae (Robinson) Schmiegelow in Tecumseh, Nebraska.  Allen attended Tecumseh Public Schools where he graduated.  When he was young, Allen enjoyed playing with the neighborhood kids and and delivered paper bundles for the Lincoln Journal Star.  After high school,  Allen worked for Hutt Oil Company and later M& M Supply, helped Greg Krueger cut and bundle wood and do fencing and worked for Kuhl Trenching until his death.  In his spare time, he loved spending time with his son Robert and together they enjoyed watching pay-per-view wrestling.  He was extremely proud of his son. After his recent diagnosis with cancer, Allen was happy to go trick or treating with Robert and going to vote one last time. Allen was always willing to help others and would do anything for anyone.

He is survived by his son Robert Schmiegelow, sisters, Carol Durman and husband Gary and Linda Finney and husband Don of Tecumseh, numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, great-nieces and great-nephews and other relatives and friends. 

  Allen was preceded in death by his parents, nephew, Tony Carmine and niece, Kimberly Finney.        

  Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2018 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Rev. Hugh Giesbrecht officiating. 

  The family requests casual attire. If you have a bracelet in his honor, please wear it.  After the service, the family would like to invite anyone who wants to come share memories of Allen to meet at the Rough City Ranch Restaurant in Tecumseh, Nebraska.

  Visitation will be at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska, Thursday, November 29, 2018 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

   Memorials in lieu of flowers may go to the family’s choice.
