Donald Gene Davis

Donald Gene Davis, 56, of Humboldt, Nebraska was born on July 31, 1967 in Nebraska City, Nebraska to Lawrence “Larry” and Darlene (Burgett) Davis.  He started school in South Dakota before moving with his family back to Humboldt, Nebraska.  Donald graduated from Humboldt High School with the class of 1987.  He worked at Humboldt Grain and Flour Company.  Donald enjoyed fishing at the Humboldt Lake Park, watching auto racing and following his favorite football team the Minnesota Vikings.  He looked forward to the Richardson County Fair every September.

Donald passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at his residence in Humboldt, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of fifty-six years, six months, and twenty-seven days.  He was preceded in death by his father Lawrence “Larry” Davis, mother Darlene (Burgett) Davis, brother Steven Davis, uncle Jerry (Carol) Davis, grandparents: Harold and Margaret Burgett and Lester Sr. and Margaret Davis, and step-grandparents Norval and Marvyl Kahl.

Donald is survived by his uncles: Richard Davis and his wife Martha of Humboldt, NE; Lester Davis Jr. and his wife Naomi of New Mexico, step-mother Marlene Davis of Humboldt, NE; step-brothers: James Diller of Dawson, MN; Mark Diller of Madison, WI; and many other relatives and friends.

Private Family Inurnment will be held at the Humboldt Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions are suggested to the family’s choice with a later designation.
