I am so sorry to hear about Merla's passing. I always loved going to their farm and houses and the activity surrounding the family. I know how much my parents, Tom and Edus Goldenstein enjoyed spending time with them, going to baseball games and flea markets and other trips. I'll always remember both her and Clarence as enthusiastic, upbeat and fun. Merla was a lovely, generous lady and I'll miss her bright smile.

I am so sorry to say goodbye to Merla, She was my dad's closest cousin. She and Clarence took many trips and vacations with my parents over the years. I remember Merla as a stunning bride... because I was their flower girl when they were married at Maple Grove. Merla and Clarence came to Grand Forks North Dakota to help clean up my house after the Flood of '97. Since then, Merla and I have corresponded and talked on the phone regularly. I will miss her every day. She had an unforgettable personality that was positive and uplifting Her family members will be in my prayers.
