   Mary Lou Naber was born to Lawrence and Dorothy (Abbott) McCain on January 12, 1939 near Tecumseh, Nebraska.  She attended District 41 school before the family moved to Tecumseh in 1944.  Mary Lou graduated from Tecumseh High School with the class of 1956.

   She was united in marriage to Elwyn H. Naber of Cook, Nebraska at St. Paul's Evangelical and Reformed Church, (Osage) at Cook, Nebraska on July 15, 1956.  To this union, a son, Larry Earl was born.  The marriage ended in divorce. 

   Mary Lou was baptized and confirmed in July, 1957 at St. Paul's (Osage) Church by Rev. Herbert Kuhn.  She later transferred her membership to First Presbyterian Church in Tecumseh where she served as an assistant Sunday School teacher and co-sponsor of the youth group.  She also was custodian of the church and worked in the church office.  Mary Lou was employed at the Johnson County Hospital in Tecumseh as a Nurse's Aid for over 27 1/2 years. 

   Mary Lou adored her family, starting with one son and her family grew to 17 at the time of her death.  She loved to embroider and make quilts for each of her granddaughters and great-grandchildren.  Mary Lou enjoyed attending all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's school programs and sports activities.

     She passed away at her home on April 19, 2016 at the age of 77 years.  

    Mary Lou is survived by her son, Larry and "daughter" Colleen Naber of Tecumseh, six grandchildren, Alicia and Patrick Brommer of Louisville, Emilie and Mitch Neemann of Tecumseh and Mikaela and Travis Thomas of Cook, nine great-grandchildren, Elliott and Coralynn Brommer, Hayley, Maecee, Kloie and Baeley Neemann and Tucker, Prestin and Kenna Thomas, brother, Earl and "sister" Carole McCain of Morgan, UT, one niece, three nephews and their families, along with several cousins.  

   She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Dorothy McCain and grandparents, Harry and Lyda Abbott of Cook and Eli and Lillian McCain of Washington.     

   Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 23, 2016 at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska with Rev. Hugh Giesbrecht officiating.  Visitation will be at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Friday, April 22, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m.  Inurnment will be in the Tecumseh Cemetery, Tecumseh, Nebraska.  Online condolences may be left @ www.wherrymortuary.com.
