Luella Rogers

Luella Rogers, 90, of Pawnee City, Nebraska passed away on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at the Pawnee Manor.  She was born on February 25, 1925 to Carl and Emilie) Rohlmeier) Kroemer in Seneca, Kansas.

Luella was raised on various farms in the Bern and Seneca, Kansas area. She graduated from 8th grade at Praire Grove country school. She attended Seneca High School and graduated in 1943.

Luella married Donald L. Rogers in Seneca, Kansas.  To this union four children were born, Lewis, Roy, Mary Jane, and Bruce.

Luella attended Friedens Church as a child.  After graduation she helped numerous families in the neighborhood.  After her marriage she lived on the family farm 4 1/2 miles south of Pawnee till 1976 then moved to Pawnee.  

Luella was a member of the State Line Club, Friendly Neighbors, Birthday Club and Red Hat Society.  

Ever since Luella was a child she enjoyed helping in the fields and farm chores.  She always loved the outdoors, even in married life.  She loved cooking, gardening, playing cards and sewing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Emilie, husband, Donald, brothers, Lawrence, Leonard and Lavern, infant brother Fredrick and infant sister Lucille, grandson Chet.

She is survived by sons and daughter-in-laws,, Lewis and wife Linda Rogers, Roy and wife Sue Rogers, daughter, Mary Jane Rogers and son Bruce Rogers, sister, Luetta Binder, sisters-in-law Emaleen Rogers, Verda Kroemer, grandkids, great grandkids, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Presbyterian Church, Pawnee City, Nebraska.  Officiating Reverend Ken Tubbesing.  Visitation on Friday, August 14, 2015 from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska.  Interment at the Pawnee City Cemetery, Pawnee City, Nebraska.
