Glenn Freeman, Jr.

Glenn Freeman, Jr., 89 of Table Rock, Nebraska, passed away on Thursday, February 23, 2017 in Lincoln, Nebraska.  He was born in Fairview, Kansas to Glenn and Gladys (Shields) Freeman, Sr.

Glenn was a Air Craft Maintenance Tech in the Army Air Force. He attended Airplane Mechanic School at Keesler Field, Mississippi. Glenn was PFC US Army Air Force from 1946-1949 in Keesler Field, Mississippi.

He drove truck in Fairview, Kansas, he worked at Lewis Implement in Humboldt, Nebraska, he was also a Diesel Mechanic in Sabetha, Kansas. His last job was at Kansas City, Kansas District #500 where he was the head Mechanic. Glenn retired from there in 1993.

Glenn married Delores Joan Rogers in Kansas City, Kansas. To  this union three children were born; Dennis, Stanley and Sharon.

Glenn enjoyed race cars, Quarter Horses, and working with his hands.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Gladys Freeman, brother, Robert (Bob) Freeman, infant sister, Phyllis Freeman and Shirley Crisler.

Glenn is survived by his wife Delores of Table Rock, NE, sons, Dennis & wife Laura Freeman of Grimes, IA, Stan & wife Linda Freeman of Kansas City, KS, daughter, Sharon Kay  Freeman of Kansas City, KS, 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

Services: 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska with Reverend Eric Biehl officiating.  

Visitation: Tuesday, February, 28, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m, at Wherry Mortuary, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Interment will be in the Table Rock Cemetery, Table Rock, Nebraska.
