Gary Joseph Johns

Gary Joseph Johns, 78, of Tecumseh formerly of Humboldt, Nebraska was born on August 17, 1937, in Newcastle, Nebraska to John and Elizabeth (Essy) Johns.  He grew up in California where he attended school.  Gary graduated from Alhambra High School in Alhambra, California with the class of 1955.  He was a resident of Humboldt, Nebraska for the last few years before moving to Belle Terrace Nursing Home when his health began to decline.

  Gary passed away on Friday, May 20, 2016, at the Belle Terrace Nursing Home in Tecumseh, Nebraska having reached the earthly age of seventy-eight years, nine months, and two days.  He was preceded in death by his parents; sons Michael and Gary Johns Jr., a brother Frank (Kathleen) Johns, and a brother-in-law Ernest Gibbens.  He is survived by his daughter Sandra Dorrell of Ridgecrest, CA; a sister Joan Gibbens of Cedar City, UT; and other relatives and friends.

Graveside Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 25, 2016, at the Sheridan (West) Cemetery in Auburn, Nebraska.

Interment will be at the Sheridan (West) Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the family’s choice with a later designation.
