    Dave Davison was born April 7, 1940 to Cecil and Viola (Rowe) Davison on the family farm near Tecumseh, Nebraska.  He grew up on the farm west of Tecumseh and attended rural country school District # 49 (Maple Grove) through the eighth grade.  Dave attended Lewiston High School, graduating with the class of 1957.  

  He was united in marriage to Mary Lou Rickman on May 1, 1960 at the United Methodist Church in Crab Orchard.  To this union, five children were born, Bonnie, Patrick, Carrie Beth, Suzanne and Christy.  Dave was baptized in 1964 at the United Church of Christ (Maple Grove) Church.   Dave farmed west of Tecumseh and also worked for the State of Nebraska Department of Roads in the Maintenance Division as a Supervisor for 25 years.   He was a 3rd Degree Mason and Master Mason of the Tecumseh Lodge.   

   In his spare time, Dave enjoyed horseback riding, restoring old tractors, golfing, playing cards with friends, collecting John Deere memorabilia, drinking with Eddie and LeRoy and spending time with his family.

    He passed away at the Johnson County Hospital in Tecumseh, Nebraska on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at the age of 76 years and 28 days.

   Dave is survived by his wife, Mary Lou (Rickman) Davison of Tecumseh, children, Bonnie (Davison) Horn and husband Alan of Olathe, KS, Patrick Davison and wife Carla of Imperial, Carrie Beth Burns and husband Tom of Plattsmouth, Suzanne Sommerhalder and husband Dan of Steinauer and Christy Whipple and husband Tony of Kalvesta, KS, grandchildren, Andrea, Kelsey and Seth Horn, Blaine and Hadley Whipple, Ryan and Leslie Sommerhalder, Justin and Kyle Burns, Shawn Bigham and Brandy Miller, great-grandchildren, Shalee, Shelby and Shalissa Bigham and Logan, Kasey and Garrett Miller, great-grandson, Jett Patterson, nieces and nephews and sisters-in-law, Willa Rabstejnek of Table Rock and Ilene Rickman of Tecumseh. 

   He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers-in-law, Lou Rickman, Phil Rabstejnek, Charles "Buzz" (Lois) Rickman and Jay (Helen) Rickman.

   Graveside memorial services will be held at the Crab Orchard Cemetery, rural Crab Orchard, Nebraska at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 9, 2016 with Rev. Eric Biehl officiating.  The family requests casual dress.

  Visitation will be at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska, Sunday, May 8, 2016 from 1-8 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m.

  Memorials in lieu of flowers may go to the family's choice.

  Inurnment will be in the Crab Orchard Cemetery, Crab Orchard, Nebraska.
