Darlene (Robinson) Schulte

   Darlene M.  (Robinson) Schulte was born March 13, 1932 to Alva “Shorty” and Agnes (Schultz) Robinson near Crab Orchard, Nebraska.  She attended rural elementary school and graduated from Tecumseh High School. 

  Darlene was united in marriage to Wayne E, Schulte on April 7, 1952 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Cook, NE.  To this union four children were born, Richard, Kenneth, Diana and Steven. 

  Darlene and Wayne made their home in Tecumseh for several years and then moved to their home southwest of Cook in the fall of 1957.  Darlene was a farm wife and homemaker.  She served as a 4-H leader for several years.  Darlene worked with the Grace Lutheran Church ladies making blankets to send to other countries.  She enjoyed sewing, quilting, being outdoors working on the farm, gardening and flowers.   Wayne passed away October 5, 2015.

    Darlene passed away February 13, 2017 at the age of 84 years.

    She is by survived by sons, Richard Schulte and wife Noella of Sioux Falls, SD, and Steven Schulte of rural Cook, daughter, Diana Ferguson and husband Ervie of Ansley, daughter-in-law, Joanne Schulte of Rogers, MN, grandchildren, Kristen Schulte-Voight and husband Todd, Rachel Bakker and husband Aaron, Stephanie Vas and husband Andrew, Alex Ferguson and fiancée Kaitlyn Shattuck, Andrew “Andy” Schulte and Kacie Schulte, great-grandson, Koen Das, sisters, Donita Rosenthal and husband Donald of Syracuse and Belva Jean Rosenthal of Syracuse and nieces and nephews.

  Darlene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Wayne, son, Kenneth, grandson, Ryan Ferguson, brother, Walter Robinson and brothers-in-law, Elmer Rosenthal, Orval Schulte and wife Irene and Leland Schulte.                                                       

   Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Cook, Nebraska with Rev. Jim Helgren officiating.

   Visitation will be at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska, Friday, February 17, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m.

   Memorials may go to the family’s choice.

   Interment will be in the Helena Cemetery, west of Cook, Nebraska.
