Clifford Andrew Spitser of Pawnee City, NE was born February 20, 1927 at Pawnee City to Elmer Clay and Ida Frances (Snyder) Spitser. He passed away November 8, 2015.

Cliff attended schools in both Pawnee and Richardson counties; graduating in 1944 at Shubert, NE. After graduation he and his brother, Walter, farmed together for over 50 years in both Richardson and Pawnee counties.

On May 20, 1951 Clifford married Betty McKinsey at the Christian Church in Verdon, Nebraska. In 1957 they moved to a farm SW of Pawnee City, where they lived until Clifford’s health forced him to move to Pawnee Manor in the fall of 2014.

Clifford was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Albert, Elmer, and Walter, sister Ruth, and his son, Kevin.

Survivors include wife, Betty, son Larry (Cathi) Spitser, sisters Murl Gottula and Pearl Schulenberg, grandson Scott (Sarah) Spitser and their daughter Zoe, Granddaughters Kirsten (Jeff) Swanson, and their children Shea, Brin and Luke, Tracy (Rick) Vetter, and their daughter Alexandra and her son Aidan, and Azure (Ken) Edwards and their children Brylie and Connor, as well as many nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends.

Clifford most of all loved his family. His second love was his farming - he said nothing was more fun than running a tractor through the fields. For many years he was active on the rural school board near his home, and he was a founding member of the Pawnee County Nebraska Farm Bureau.
