Charlene L. Fischer, 71, of Lawton, Oklahoma, formerly of Pawnee City, Nebraska, passed away on May 9, 2017 at her home. She was born on October 30, 1945 in Pawnee City to Ernest John and Lillie Irene (Cary) Fischer.
Charlene graduated from Pawnee City High School in May of 1964.
Charlene worked as a nurses aide in the Gordon Nursing homes, Creighton Memorial and St. Joseph Hospital in Omaha until becoming ill. She returned to Pawnee City and worked for a time at the Pawnee Manor until she became disabled and unable to work.
She spent from 1999 to the time of her death in Lawton, Oklahoma near her family.
Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, Ernest John & Lillie Irene Fischer, her sister Alice sadly passed away on May 10, 2017 the day after Charlene's death.
She is survived by her sister, Judy Cantrell of Lawton, OK, brother, John Fischer of Lawton, OK and several nieces and nephews.
Services: 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska with Chris Rohrbaugh officiating. Register book will be available for signing on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 from 9:00 a.m.- 8:00 p.m.
Interment will be in the Pawnee City Cemetery, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Memorials to family choice. Online condolences may be left at www.wherrymortuary.com.
