B. Arline (Wellsandt) Armknecht

   B. Arline Armknecht was born to Alvin and Matilda (Schoene) Wellsandt on February 18, 1925 near Cook, Nebraska. She was baptized and confirmed at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Cook, Nebraska. Arline attended country school south of Cook and graduated from Cook High School in 1943.

  Arline was united in marriage to Albert H. Armknecht on December 19, 1946 at the American Lutheran Church in Lincoln, Nebraska.

   Arline was a loving mother and farm wife.  She worked alongside Albert during their marriage in their farming operation and raised six children.  She served as Vice-President of the Grace Lutheran ELCW for many years where she was instrumental in planning many church social functions.  Arline enjoyed flowers, gardening, sewing, quilting, reading, and playing cards.  Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the absolute joy of her life.

   She passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the Community Memorial Hospital in Syracuse, Nebraska at the age of 91 years.

  She is survived by her husband, Albert of rural Talmage, children, Barb Trout and husband John of Omaha, Dave Armknecht and special friend Becky Shedeed of Lincoln, Cheryl Grundman and husband Larry of Syracuse, Joyce Merck and husband Craig of Lincoln and Bonnie Engel and husband Mike of Lincoln, daughter-in-law, Celesta Armknecht, of Lincoln, 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

 Arline was preceded in death by her son, Dennis Armknecht, daughter-in-law, Linda Jo Armknecht and sister, Rachel Sears. 

  Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at the Grace Lutheran Church in Cook, Nebraska with Rev. Jim Helgren officiating.    Closed casket visitation will be at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska, Friday, April 29, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m.   Memorials may go to the Grace Lutheran Church or Grace Lutheran Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund.  Private family Interment will be in the Grace Lutheran Cemetery, rural Cook, Nebraska with Pastor Mary Grundman officiating.  Online condolences may be left @ www.wherrymortuary.com.
