Arliss A (Ideus) Schultz

   Arliss Ann Schultz was born to Wilfred and Eleanor (Buss) Ideus on February 17, 1950 in Beatrice, Nebraska.  She was baptized on March 2, 1950 and confirmed April 11, 1965 at the American Lutheran Church in Adams, Nebraska.  She grew up on a farm near Adams and attended Adams Public Schools.

  She was united in marriage to Larry E. Schultz on October 6, 1966 at Adams, Nebraska.  To this union three daughters were born, Jody, Jennifer and Janelle.

  Larry and Arliss made their home in Tecumseh where they raised their family.  Arliss worked as a bookkeeper and accountant for the Tecumseh and Adams Elevators until her retirement in 2012.   In her spare time, Arliss enjoyed collecting glassware and jewelry and gardening.  Arliss was a member of The Accountant Society and longtime member of St. Paul’s U.C.C. (Maple Grove.)  She passed away July 26, 2017 in Tecumseh, Nebraska at the age of 67 years.

  Arliss is survived by her husband, Larry of Tecumseh, special companion, Charlie, daughters, Jody Schultz of Tecumseh, Jennifer Schultz and Becky Crawford of Des Moines, IA and Janelle Byfield and husband Jeremey of Auburn, grandsons, Jacob, Lawrence, Isaac and Sam and Will, father, Wilfred Ideus of Beatrice, brothers, Robert Ideus and wife Doreen of Beatrice, Eldon Ideus and wife Deborah of Adams and Duane Ideus and wife Kathy of Burchard, sisters and brothers in law, Dianne Hergott and husband Wayne of Lincoln, Steve Schultz and wife Deb of Tecumseh and Janet Schultz of Cook and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.   

  Arliss greeted her mother Eleanor in heaven, as they passed away on the same day.  She was preceded in death by her parents-in-law, Martin and Luetta Schultz. 

  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2017 at the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ (Maple Grove) Church, 72257 616 Avenue rural Tecumseh, Nebraska, with Rev. Eric Biehl officiating.

  Visitation will be at the Wherry Mortuary in Tecumseh, Nebraska, Friday, July 28, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., with family greeting friends from 6-8 p.m.

   Memorials may go to the family’s choice.

   Interment will be in the St. Paul’s U.C.C. Cemetery, rural Tecumseh, Nebraska.
