Ruby Marie Smith 92, of Pawnee City, Nebraska died Thursday, March 8, 2012 at the Pawnee Manor. Ruby was born to Walter and Lena (Robbing) Auker on a farm north of Table Rock, Nebraska on January 19, 1920 and grew up in Hastings, Nebraska. Ruby married Evan K. “Bud” Smith, January 22, 1938 to this union four children were born: Judith Ann, Larry Kent, Connie Jean and Bonnie Kathleen. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter Debbie Smith died from Lupus, grandson David Sturm, granddaughter Cynthia Roberts and brother-in-law Les Dunn.

Survivors; Daughter Judith Gray of Pawnee City; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Betty Smith of Omaha; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Sonny Bellows of Council Bluffs, Iowa; daughter and son-in-law Bonnie and Gene Sturm of Council Bluffs, Iowa; brother and sister-in-law, Mel and June Auker of Hastings; sister Jewel Dunn of Corpus Christi, Texas, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, March 13, 2012 at Wherry Mortuary, 919 “G” Street, Pawnee City, Ne. Officiating is Reverand Duane Westing. Visitation is 2 p.m. to 8 p.m on Monday at the Mortuary. Committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 14, at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Hastings, Nebraska. Memorials to family choice.
