Phanetta Laura Bohm, 95 of Dubois, Nebraska passed away on Saturday, August 25, 2012 at the Pawnee Manor, Pawnee City, Nebraska. She was born on October 24, 1916 to Leon C. and Florence Evelyn (Dorrance) Farwell in Du Bois, Nebraska. Phanetta celebrated the same birthday with her father and her grandfather H.S. Farwell.

Phanetta has been a lifetime resident of the Du Bois area. She graduated in 1934 from Du Bois High School. Phanetta married Edward Bohm on October 23, 1947 at Phanetta’s home in Du Bois.

Phanetta was President of the State Bank of Du Bois until 1969. Phanetta was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church in Du Bois, Nebraska. She was also a 70 year plus member of O.E.S. in Pawnee City, Nebraska.

Phanetta and Ed enjoyed traveling, square dancing, playing cards, attending Nebraska Football games and belonging to the N Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents Leon C. and Florence E. Farwell, husband Edward Bohm, infant sister, sister and brother-in-law, Florence and Fred Herr, sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ellen and John Tyrrell, brother-in-law, Glenn Bohm, father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Wilhelmima Bohm.

Phanetta is survived by niece and husband, Barbara & Larry Baker of Springfield, MO, nephew and wife, Roger Nubia Herr of New York, NY, niece and husband, Evelyn & Judd Anderson of Baltimore, MD, niece, many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, August 28, 2012 at the United Methodist Church in Du Bois, Nebraska. Co officiating Pastor Alan Gager and Reverend Ken Tubbesing. Funeral rites provided by order of Eastern Star of Pawnee City.Visitation Monday, August 27, 2012 from Noon-8 p.m. with family greeting friends from 5-7 p.m. at Wherry Mortuary, 919 G Street, Pawnee City, Nebraska. Interment at the Friedens UCC Cemetery, Bern, Kansas. Memorials to the Du Bois Community foundation, United Methodist Church of Du Bois, Friedens UCC Church Cemetery Fund.
