Anna (Kolar) Beutler, 98, of Humboldt, Nebraska was born on August 28, 1913, in Peru, Nebraska to Joseph and Mary (Majer) Kolar. Anna’s family moved to Humboldt, Nebraska in 1918 where she grew up and attended school. She would later graduate Humboldt High School with the class of 1930.

In October of 1934, Anna was united in marriage to Leonard Beutler. To this union a son, Joe Dean, was born. The couple owned and operated the Lumber Yard and Len was a general contractor. Anna for many years was the manager of Leonard Construction Company doing everything from ordering supplies, to preparing bids for construction, and keeping the books. In 1990, Anna and her brother Charles visited their parent’s homeland and met some first cousins and saw the houses where their parents were born in Czechoslovakia. Anna was a faithful member of the Christian Church in Humboldt. She loved her family dearly; especially her great-grandchildren were the joy of her life. Anna passed away at the Colonial Acres Nursing Home in Humboldt, Nebraska on Wednesday, August 1, 2012, having reached the age of ninety-eight years, eleven months, and four days.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Leonard, son Joe Dean, a sister Josephine Lapel, and brothers Ladd and Charles Kolar.

Anna is survived by her grandchildren: Valerie Crook and husband Jim of Lincoln, NE; Tom Beutler of Johnson, NE; Dan Beutler and wife Marie of Arlington, TX; great-grandchildren: Casey and Alison Beutler of Johnson, NE; Marcus Gonzales of Seneca, KS; Don Martinez of Arlington, TX; Pat Dixon of Kansas City, KS; Phillip Dixon of Arlington, TX; Jessica Dixon of Arlington, TX; Margaret Dayton of Lincoln, NE and Janelle Beutler of Holdrege, NE; numerous great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law Millie VanDeventer of Humboldt, NE; a niece Carol Lapel of Lincoln, NE; a nephew Robert Kolar and wife Yvetta of Sun City, AZ; and many other relatives and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 4, 2012, at The Christian Church in Humboldt, Nebraska with Howard Blecha officiating.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on Friday, August 3, 2012, at the Wherry Mortuary in Humboldt, Nebraska.

Private Family Inurnment will be at the Humboldt Cemetery.
